With today’s lifestyle, more and more people tend to have a stressful life. We generally use the word “stress” when we feel that everything seems to have become too much – we are overloaded and wonder whether we really can cope with the pressures placed upon us. Anything that poses a challenge or a threat to our well-being is a stress. But some stresses are good as without any stress at all, our lives would be boring and would probably feel pointless. A little pressure is necessary to perform better in life. However, when the stresses undermine both our mental and physical health they are bad. Stress is omnipresent in our lives. I also have my off days with lots of stress. Stress of finishing my write up, stress of getting up early, stress of work pressure, stress of finishing my daily chore with my little one and least important, stress of, to finish reading a book. Last one may sound non relevant and over exaggerated to some or many of my known people, but with reading as my passion, it takes a toll on my activities and thus I have a pressure of finishing it soon to know the ending.
Mr. Husband also have his stressful days, although he says he has none but I know that he is stressing. Work pressure and traveling majorly forms his arena of stress. The best part with him is that he know how to de-stress himself unlike me. I have no set mechanism of doing that but I realized this fact that all humans have this act in build in themselves, to bounce back. With increasing stress is the increasing urge to live healthy. Everyone tries to find ways to live healthy and stress free. And thus I thought of listing 10 effective ways that I think can be helpful to have a healthy lifetsyle
Apart from this, I also feel that each one of us should do one thing daily that makes one happy. I have reading as my de-stresser. I read a lot. Whenever I get time, I pick up a book and start reading. Another way to feel happy and contended is that a person should try one thing that he /she has not tried ever. It gives a new high and infuses positive energy in the system.
People who don’t manage stress well can have headaches, stomach pain, sleeping problems, illness, and depression. Thus, excess stress should be dealt immediately with effective measures.
